The page does not have desired terms or does not have simple things like title tags. There is only so much an anchor text on a page can do. Title tags are essential for link building. Here are some of the things that you need to have in case you want to make your site worthy of link building.

Content is king. You might be engaged in some of the most boring businesses; however, that does not mean you should not focus on the content. If you have content that highlights you have the best product at the best possible price then you are definitely going to get links. Make your content unique, relevant, and keep it fresh.

If navigating your site is a nightmare then don’t expect to become a success. The user has to find what he is looking for without breaking a sweat or tearing his hair out. Make it clear how the user can find the item he is looking whether it is by typing the item code or by typing the keyword.

Even if your site is a dynamic site have good internal links. Long URLs are a big turn off for visitors and make navigation difficult. Also people would not like to link to you if you have unusually long URLs.

In case you do not have what the user is looking for then do not redirect the user to the home page or to any other page. It is better to be up front and have 404 error pages that tell the users the information they are seeking is not available. The user’s time is as important as yours.

And last but not the least. To make your e-commerce site link worthy your search engine result page snippet has to be short, to the point, relevant, and fresh.
