It has certainly been a memorable year for Google and its AdSense users as the company has strived hard to make several improvements. Here are a few noticeable changes that made a measurable difference to users’ campaigns in 2012.
Since many users requested Google to provide help in increasing their revenues, Google responded with several features including using social tools such as Google+ where users could use the DoubleClick for Publishers feature, among others. Additionally, Google also encouraged users to go mobile and take advantage of this emerging market. In fact, some users registered an increase of up to 400 percent in revenues thanks to these changes.
Google also made several changes to its AdSense interface. This included refreshing their Ad review center as well as the addition of multiple users into an account. The company increased the scope of reports, made account management a lot easy, and provided the ability to directly block ads from the new Publisher Toolbar.
The company responded to requests from several users that wanted to learn more about other publishers and provided their stories throughout 2012. Google also provided additional options and improved its ad format, which in turn enhanced the earning potential of AdSense users.
The company provided another feature known as Learn with Google for Publishers that allowed users to communicate with the company as well as get special deals and offers. In addition, users can now follow Google’s AdSense+ page to receive the latest updates as well as Hangouts.
The company also made it easier for users to make payments by updating the Payments Page as well as providing additional payment options for users in Southeast Asia. Many users also wanted clarifications in AdSense policies and the company listened to them to provide helpful tips as well as announcements on methods for better communication.
2012 also saw Google introduce AdSense in the Indonesian language that helped users in Indonesia to sign up for an account and begin earning through AdSense ads. With that change, Google has wrapped up 2012 along with a promise to make several improvements and introduce new features in AdSense in 2013.
