Google to offer Ad Group Mobile Bid Adjustments feature in Enhanced Campaigns

If you are one advertiser using Google Enhanced Campaigns in AdWords then you will be able to gain enhanced control over your bids in the near future. Google has announced that it will introduce ad group mobile bid adjustments by the middle of May 2013 for all users using enhanced campaigns.

The ad group mobile bid adjustment feature will allow you to set a mobile bid adjustment on ad group levels. While enhanced campaigns already lets you reach out to your target market by way of ads based on their intent and context, this new feature will help you save money with precise bids.

Ad group mobile bid adjustments can be especially useful if you manage campaigns on a large scale and have discovered that you need bid adjustments for specific keywords within that enhanced campaign. Once you upgrade to the new enhanced campaigns that include this feature, you will be able to maintain your intended bids as well as ROI for different devices such as mobiles and desktops.

Upgrading enhanced campaigns is also an easy affair with just 3 steps being needed for most users. Once you log into adwords.google.com, you merely need to click on the “Get Started” button. Next, you will need to choose a Mobile Bid Adjustment and finally click on “Complete Upgrade”.

Google states that the exact date of availability of the ad group mobile bid adjustment feature will be announced on its developer blog and that API access will be available at the beginning of May 2013. The company will also start to automatically upgrade all AdWords campaigns to enhanced campaigns from July 22, 2013.
